Health Benefits of Cashew Butter

I recently tried Artisana Cashew Butter and I fell in love with it! It’s super smooth, creamy and slightly sweet. Definitely my favorite nut butter I’ve tried so far!

Cashew butter is high in calories but when added in moderation it can be a healthy part of your diet. Stick to 1-2 tablespoons per day to enjoy the benefits of the multiple vitamins & minerals in cashew butter.

Cashew butter does not usually contain sugar and when you purchase unsalted cashew butter there is 0 sodium and no cholesterol.

Uses:

  • In lieu of peanut butter in cookies or peanut sauces.
  • Add to smoothies with frozen bananas and coconut or almond milk to make your own healthy ice cream.
  • On top of toasted gluten-free or sprouted wheat bread as a healthy snack.
  • In a chocolate nut butter fudge recipe like mine.
  • As a healthy cupcake frosting.
  • As a dressing on Warm Spinach Salad.

What’s your favorite nut butter?

I hate to admit this but I’ve never tried any alternative nut butters! I am old school with the peanut. But I have been wanting to try almond, sunflower and cashew. Which one is your fave?

Hello Jill! There is nothing wrong with sticking to what you know and love 🙂 Almond butter was the first one I tried (I even like to make my own at home) and it’s really yummy. I always have it on hand along with my organic crunchy peanut butter. Sunflower Seed butter is ok…it’s got a different taste than I’m used to. I don’t like it on my Ezekiel toast, but I did make a yummy chocolate fudge with it and it’s really yummy in the fudge. Cashew Butter was the most recent new nut butter I tried and I have to say that it’s my new favorite! It’s super smooth and creamy with a slight sweetness. I actually like it better than Almond butter now 🙂 I definitely recommend trying Cashew and Almond butters to start. Let me know which one you end up trying and how you like it!
