#TuesdayTip - Lemongrass Essential Oil for Tension Headaches | Healthy, Fit & Barefoot!

Today’s tip is one that I think a lot of you could use. Tension headaches are quite common these days with so many people staring at a computer screen for hours on end, feeling stressed out and even driving for long periods of time.

Working at the computer a lot I tend to get a lot of tension headaches. I do try and get up and move around and stretch throughout the day, but I still seem to get tension headaches from tension in my neck and shoulders.

Lemongrass essential oil to the rescue!

The calming and soothing effects of lemongrass essential oil has the power to relieve the pain, pressure, or tension that can cause headaches. Try massaging diluted lemongrass oil on your temples and breathe in the relaxing lemony fragrance. You can also rub it into whichever muscles are tensed up. This also works great for charley horses and cramps!

I love the smell of lemongrass too…sometimes just inhaling the scent will relieve my headaches.

Try it today and watch your headaches and tight muscles disappear.

Love everything Lemongrass, especially lemongrass tea we have had in Jamaica! Didn’t realize the oil was good for tension headache relief. That is good news!

I have always had an interest in EO’s but only recently have been really diving into it deeper. Lavender and Peppermint have been mainstays for years though.

I have really been loving Lavender, Frankincense and Clove lately. I actually just put a drop of Peppermint in my lip gloss today 🙂 Peppermint improves circulation and acts as a natural lip plumper!
