Top 5 Ways to Stay Healthy During Winter

Winter can be a challenging season for health and wellness. Between shorter days, colder weather, and the temptation to hibernate indoors, it’s easy to let healthy habits slide. But with a few mindful changes, you can stay energized, healthy, and happy all season long.

1. Boost Your Immunity
Support your immune system with nutrient-rich foods like citrus fruits, leafy greens, and garlic. Supplements like vitamin C, zinc, and elderberry can also give you an extra edge. Sipping on bone broth and herbal teas. Oliveda’s I01 has Camu Camu in it, which is the highest documented source of Vitamin C found in nature (it also has more antioxidants than elderberries) It’s my top recommended supplement to have for cold and flu season. Oh..and for kids (or adults who don’t like supplements) Llama naturals has the best gummy elderberry supplement I’ve found (it’s low in sugar since it’s sweetened with real fruit and cane sugar). 2. Stay Active Indoors
When it’s too cold to exercise outside, focus on indoor workouts. Try yoga, resistance band training, or even a bodyweight circuit to keep your energy levels high and combat winter sluggishness. Contact me if you want a more personalized workout routine.

3. Hydrate Inside and Out
Dry winter air can dehydrate your skin and body. Combat this by using a humidifier to add moisture to the air and avoiding hot showers, which can strip natural oils from your skin. Keep a reusable water bottle handy, and moisturize regularly with products like Oliveda skincare and Primally Pure’s hydrating creams. (Need help with your skincare routine? 4. Prioritize Sleep
Shorter days are a great excuse to focus on sleep quality. Aim for 7-9 hours a night and create a calming bedtime routine—a cup of herbal tea and some light stretching can work wonders. (Check out this post on Instagram with more Better Sleep Tips)

5. Take Care of Your Mental Health
Winter blues are real, but small daily habits can help. Spend time in natural light, even if it’s just by a sunny window. Practice mindfulness or journaling, and connect with loved ones to boost your mood. (I love this selfcare workbook )

Staying healthy during winter doesn’t have to be complicated. Focus on simple, nourishing habits that support your body and mind, like practicing meditation or spending time outdoors for fresh air and natural light, and you’ll be ready to enjoy everything the season has to offer.
