Saving on Healthy Foods

Groceries seem to be getting more and more expensive all the time! Every time I go shopping my bill gets bigger and the groceries I leave with are fewer.

My husband and I eat healthy, buy organic products, and try and make groceries last for about two weeks. It’s not always an easy task. I make a lot of foods once then we eat the leftovers throughout the week which really helps. I personally love veggies and eat a lot of them which cuts down on the grocery bill as well since meats are much more expensive.

I’ve never been a coupon clipper. Maybe it’s because most of the products I’ve always bought never had coupons and maybe it’s partly because I would always forget to use them when I did cut them.

I love technology and now that there are lots of apps you can use to help get cashback on your groceries it’s much more convenient!

Here are a few of my favorite apps that I use:

keyringapp Key Ring App: This is my all time favorite. No more clutter of store loyalty cards in your wallet or hanging on your keychain! Key Ring is the #1 Mobile Shopping App that allows you to store cards, find deals & view digital sales circulars. One feature I really love is the ability to share cards with other family members. For example, my mom doesn’t shop at Giant very much so I shared my card with her so on the occasion that she does, she uses my Giant card for the discount and I get the rewards points. I also don’t use Giant-To-Go so she ends up using my card for the gas rewards points too.

ibottaibotta app: This app pays you for everyday purchases. The only thing I don’t like about ibotta is that you can only get cashback at certain stores. I shop at my local grocery store more than I do at national chain stores so I can’t get any cashback on purchases there. I do love that you can see what purchases your friends are getting cashback on and you can also get bonuses when you have a large team of friends that are all redeeming cashback items! The products change weekly so check back regularly to see if there are items you can get cashback on. If you download the ibotta app, I would love it if you would join my team by using my referral code: ak44w.

berrycart BerryCart app: This one I absolutely love because you can find deals on the best organic, gluten-free, or Non-GMO foods. When you find a food that you will be buying, you need to learn a few facts first to unlock the cashback on that item, which is actually fun. For example, learn what Ancient Grains are and what the deal is with Acai’ and Chia seeds. Find out what a company like Sweet Riot stands for. After you buy the product you snap a pic of the receipt and send it in and you earn cashback! You can even earn cashback on produce!

checkout51 Checkout 51 app: This is the last app I love to use to get cashback on products I purchase. This one is fabulous because you can use it at any store you shop at, which means I use this one the most since I shop at my local grocery store the most. Checkout 51 also changes there offers weekly and they also have a sweepstakes you can enter each week. You just submit a receipt for a grocery trip over $60 for a chance to win $500! I pretty much always spend over $60 unless I just go for a quick re-stock trip in between weekly trips. You can cashout once you reach $20 in rebates. I’ve only been using it for a short while now and already have $5.00 in my account.

What apps or websites do you use to save money when grocery shopping?
