#FlavorfulFriday – Homemade Chocolate Peanut Butter Peppermint Fudge

#FlavorfulFriday - Homemade Chocolate Peanut Butter Peppermint Fudge

I have been on a chocolate craving lately! Of course, when I’m having a chocolate craving I don’t have any chocolate in the house! So…two days ago I decided to make some more homemade fudge that I can keep in the freezer for when a chocolate hankering comes on.

I used to LOVE peppermint patties so I thought I would try adding a few drops of peppermint essential oil to my fudge, and boy does it taste good!  The recipe doesn’t make a lot, so next time I plan on doubling the recipe.

So, if you have a chocolate craving…here’s a simple and yummy recipe for you to try:

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup melted coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup cacao powder
  • 1/4 cup raw honey (or maple syrup)
  • 1 drop peppermint oil (2 for a double batch)
  • 2 TBSP organic crunchy peanut butter

Mix all ingredients together, adding in the peppermint oil last. Place in container lined with parchment paper and freeze for 1-3 hours, depends how thick your fudge is. Pull parchment paper out and cut fudge into squares.

Store in freezer or refrigerator and enjoy!
