Happy Friday my friends! I was really struggling with coming up with a blog post this week. Then I was thinking about going out with friends tomorrow night and was wondering why they picked 7pm to go out? I seriously dread going out with friends that late at night.
LOL, ok I know most of you are probably thinking that this is a normal time to go out with friends on a Saturday night, but for me it’s kind of late. Yep…I’m a morning person and it’s so hard to find other morning people. Even my husband is more of a night person, but he will get up early to go hiking or to the beach with me, but other wise he would much rather stay up late. I’m winding down and relaxing at 7pm at night. It might be easier for me because we don’t have kids so I don’t have sporting events or dance recitals to attend in the evenings. We eat dinner between 5-5:30 every night and during the week when my husband has to get up to be at work at 3 am we are both in bed and asleep by 9pm.
Boy…typing this out loud…makes us sound like we are in our 80’s LOL
I seriously love getting up at 5am every day to exercise and start my day. There is just something energizing and refreshing about the mornings, that I want to soak up every hour of the morning as I can. I am also a huge coffee drinker, so the mornings are my time for enjoying my coffee as well. I don’t even like training clients after 4pm because I know I won’t be fully focused and energized in the evenings.
So, tomorrow night when we go out with friends, I will try my best to not be tired and cranky, and have a good time. Why we can’t we find friends that would rather go out for breakfast or lunch??
Another reason I don’t like staying up late, is because it totally throws my sleep cycle off and then the next day I wake up feeling groggy, cranky and with a headache. UGH…it’s crazy that one night of staying up later than usual throws my body so out of whack. Does anyone else get this way, or am I the only one?
Do you think you can change from a morning person to a night person? I know when I was younger I definitely could handle staying up later and feeling fine the next day.
If you’ve got any tips for helping me cope with late nights, I would totally love to hear from you! (Oh…and naps do NOT help me…I wake up with a headache after taking a nap then I’m cranky lol)
Stay Healthy my Friends!
XO,
Carrie A Groff
