Ditch the Toxic Air Fresheners – My Pura Review

Many years ago I learned about the dangers of using products like Febreeze, Glade Plug-ins, and even scented candles (although there are essential oil candles now made with soy wax), so I stopped burning big-name brand candles, stopped using Febreeze, and switched to diffusing essential oils. While I still love using essential oils and believe they have many health benefits…I got tired of filling up my diffuser with water all the time, and because I used my diffuser daily…I was going through a lot of essential oils.

I then found a natural plug-in called Enviroscent…which I loved that they were eco-friendly scents and I could just plug them in and forget about it until I stopped smelling the scents. The problem was…they didn’t have much scent variety and they didn’t last as long as I would have liked.

Then I found PURA, plug-in fragrances that are safe & clean scents, no parabens or phthalates, designed by world-class perfumers, compounded in the USA and are made with responsibly sourced ingredients.

PLUS they have TONS of scents to choose from! All the fresh, coconut, salt air, beachy scents I could dream of! I’ve finally found the best of both worlds…safe scents (yep, even safe for our cats!) and scents that last and smell amazing!

I started with two diffusers, one in the kitchen and one upstairs in our bathroom. Since then I have one in our basement, powder room and spare bedroom (which is where the cats litter pans are).

You can put two of the same scents in your diffuser or you can do two different ones. I like to do one scent for the morning, like more of an energizing scent, and a more calming scent for the evening.

Pura also just came out with Open-Air Technology scents which are scents that are made to remove un-wanted odors from your home. They have ones that are formulated for bathrooms, kitchens (goodbye fish and onion odor!), and for removing pet-odors (I have one in our litter pan room).
