It should come as no surprise that EVERY year we find ourselves with age old debate of holiday BALANCE. How to fit in a workout, while wrapping gifts, slogging through an unexpected shovel session and somehow finding the mental willpower to turn down that second (ok fourth) holiday cookie in the office kitchen.
The mere idea of balance is as fabled as those sugar plum fairies. We envision a perfect day where we wake up gloriously without an alarm clock, breakfast was made by our adorable loved ones, we hit our favorite workout class and the instructor comments on our spectacular form, which rolls in to a day at work where we cross everything off our to do list.
Ain’t gonna happen. BUT we can strike a balance throughout the entire holiday season and that’s what this challenge will help you do!
8TH ANNUAL FOR A REASON
The Holiday Sweat Challenge is originally the Holiday Bootie Buster Challenge from RunToTheFinish.com, but took on a new shape and name when Sweat Pink joined the party.
This challenge has been a hit every year not just because of the prizes {though the swag is ridiculous}, but because of the community that’s forged in these times where we so desperately need support!
Need help getting in your morning workouts? Last year we had people texting each other to hold them accountable!
Need ideas for a gluten free Thanksgiving? Trust me your sisters in sweat will get you any recipe you need.
Need to vent a little about the fluffy one that just destroyed your favorite running shoes? We’ve got your back for that and the in-laws too.
Need to lose weight? Every year we hear from those who managed to do what others consider impossible, drop weight while enjoying their holidays!!

For a large majority of Americans (and especially Canadians) this is the time of year that we take our workouts indoors. Bundle up and take your workout outside! Go for a run, try snoga (yoga in the snow), rent a fat tire bike. Put on some gloves and head to the nearest park for lunges, pull ups, push ups, and box jumps.
