Have you ever had (or heard of) Papaya Leaf Tea? No?…me neither…until now. I recently received a box of tea from in my merchant discovery box and I’m so glad I did!

I never had it before…nor did I know it existed…nor did I know how many health benefits the tea has. Here are just some of the many amazing health benefits:

Recent scientific data suggests that papaya leaf may be useful in fighting cancer as well. “According to research published in the ”Journal of Ethnopharmacology” in February of 2010, papaya leaf tea showed promise in treating a variety of human cancers in vitro including cervical, breast, lung and pancreatic cancers. Scientists posit that the anticancer effects of papaya leaf tea may be due to the stimulation of immune cells that kill cancer cells. University of Florida researcher Dr. Nam Dang, one of the team members responsible for the study, elaborated on the university’s website that papaya leaf tea demonstrated no toxicity on human cells, potentially making it a safe, natural treatment for many forms of cancer.”

Now, I’m not a tea drinker so I’m not sure if I made the tea correctly or not, but I did have to add some honey to it to get rid of the slight bitterness. Otherwise, it’s pretty tasty and it’s healthy! I will eat or drink pretty much anything when I know it has health benefits lol….anyone else like this?
