Happy Friday my friends!
Today’s workout is sponsored by the Kamagon Ball by Hedstrom Fitness. “The Kamagon Ball is the next step in the evolution of fitness. It is the best tool for functional strength training, core, full body workouts and focused training, providing maximum efficiency and results, while being unique, safe and fun to use.”
I have been having so much fun using the Kamagon Ball in my workouts. What’s so unique about this piece of fitness equipment? It’s filled with water! The importance of hydro-inertia training is that your muscles have to work harder to stabilize the ball which also means your core is working double time! “The efficiency of Hydro-Inertia™ resistance mimics real life situations far more than do static weights such as dumbbells or kettle bells. This is not only important for athletes in their functional training programs. When you play with your children or grandchildren, you are not picking up static weights.”
If you don’t have a Kamagon Ball, that’s ok, you can still do today’s workout. Just grab a medicine ball or a dumbbell (or two) and you can do the same moves.
Here’s the workout:
Set your timer for 30 seconds of exercise with 10 seconds of rest for 5 cycles. (I love using the Tabata Pro timer on my iPad) If you need a recovery round in between cycles set it for 30-60 seconds depending on your fitness level.
Here are the moves:
Squat with Overhead Press
Reverse Lunge with Oblique Twist
Bent Over Rows
V-Ups
Biceps Curls (Full range of motion and half range of motion reps) Can do these on your knees or standing
Stay Healthy my Friends!
