It’s that time of year when I really crave green smoothies. When it’s super hot out I just want something cool and refreshing to eat for lunch and green smoothies are a fun and easy way for me to get in my greens. Green smoothies can get quite boring though and I am always searching for new recipe ideas to change it up a bit.
This latest recipe is one that I haven’t gotten tired of yet and is very easy to mix-n-match ingredients to change it up a bit.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsweetened vanilla coconut milk (or almond milk)
- 1/2 cup water
- two handfuls of greens (I use a mixture of baby spinach, kale & chard)
- 1/4 avocado
- 1 banana
- 1 cup strawberries (or any fruit – apple, mango, pineapple, raspberries, blueberries, peaches, pears)
- 1 TBSP almond butter
- 1 TBSP flax seeds
- 1 TBSP chia seeds
- 1 TBSP hemp seeds
- 1 oz of Navitas Naturals Goldenberries
- sprinkle of cinnamon
- ice cubes
Variations: Add in some unsweetened shredded coconut, raw honey, cacao powder
Blend & Enjoy!
