Motivation Monday: What’s Your Why?

Wow! I can’t believe it’s February already! January flew by! Did you stick to your exercise and healthy eating routines?

February is a great time to reflect on what you did during January and congratulate yourself for a job well done or to determine what caused you to slip from your goals and how to re-motivate yourself to get back into the game!

I had a great January! I had fun with the #SweatPink #NoExcuses 4 week challenge (this week is the final week).

Last Week of the #NoExcuses Challenge!

I also started a 2 month fitness plan with Livestrong and I reached a goal of mine to be able to do the Yoga pose “Crow” and I did it! Woohoo!

Here is a look back at some of the fun things I accomplished in January.

I’m excited to continue with my Livestrong fitness plan in February and start the #TakeTheLeap 30 Day Yoga Challenge with prAna and Sweat Pink!

I absolutely love fitness and how it makes me feel. I do have physical goals I’m reaching towards but it’s more important to me how I feel when working out. I think the key to staying motivated is to figure out what your “Why” is how that will make you FEEL when you reach it! For example, if your goal is to run a marathon think about that feeling of accomplishment when you run through the finish line. Or if you want to eat healthier so you can feel like One of my goals for this 30 Day Yoga Challenge is to increase my flexibility and upper body strength so I can master beautiful poses like headstand tripod and peacock!

What are your goals, have you reached any of them and what’s your why that keeps you motivated?

  1. Congrats on CROW!! That is one pose I have been striving for months to land. I am almost there.
This Take The Leap challenge is great. I love that there are so many yogi’s on board and yoga is taking social media by storm!
I started my first 4 week fitness challenge through Gigabody.com yesterday. I have never done anything like this. Because the web site have preset videos and makes the schedule for me, I am motivated to stay with it. Plus….Self Guilt keeps me motivated – LOL

    1. Thanks Mary! Keep practicing and you will master Crow pose! 🙂 Congrats on starting a fitness challenge on Gigabody.com! I did one of their challenges too and loved it! I always follow some kind of fitness challenge or plan when I work out because it helps me to know what videos to do each day. If you need a plan to follow when you are done with Gigabody let me know! I’m always finding new ones to do (for free) 🙂 Stay motivated!

      1. Thanks Carrie! I will keep this in mind. I am always looking for ways to stay motivated. I can fall off that wagon very quickly if I am not careful 🙂
